Put Your Head Down"
Mrs.. K taught my youngest son in 1st grade. She shared this story with me.
As Mrs. K was "discussing" some improper classroom behavior with her students, she noticed Jonathan had his head on his desk and was not paying attention. When she asked him about this behavior, she said he slowly raised his head and said, "Mrs. K, you know my Mama is a teacher. I've heard ALL this before! " Harriet said it was one of the rare times when she did not have a response and was having a hard time keeping it together. So, she said, "Just put your head back down!"
