Lydia Rogers  Miller
Lydia Rogers Miller, 51, a resident of Huntsville, Alabama and formerly of Starkville, Mississippi, died January 20, 2015 at her residence in Huntsville, Alabama.

Miss Miller was born February 20, 1963 in Lexington, KY, daughter of Dr. Robert W. Rogers and Mary Demas Rogers. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Demas Rogers; her grandparents, Enlow and Maggie Rogers of Russellville, KY; and Nick and Grace Demas of Lexington, KY. She is survived by her father, Robert W. Rogers, her step-mother, Bernice Rogers of Starkville; one brother, Ronald W. Rogers of Jackson, MS; one sister, Linda Fowler (Frank) of Katy, Texas; two nieces, Elizabeth Fowler and Sarah Kate Fowler of Katy, Texas; numerous first cousins; two aunts from Lexington, KY, Helen Bullock and Ebbie Rheinsmith, and a special friend, Allen Aleong of Huntsville, Ala.

She is a graduate of Starkville High School, and obtained her BS degree at the University of Alabama/Huntsville, as well as being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She was employed by the Department of Defense at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, and was a certified Acquisitions Professional. She worked there for over 27 years in various positions. She was a Presbyterian.

Miss Miller had the ability to make everyone laugh and she enjoyed meeting family, friends, and discussing the good times of high school. She particularly loved to come back to Starkville to reacquaint with old friends as well as visit her relatives in Kentucky. She enjoyed traveling with her family and spending time with her two nieces. Her love of life was contagious to everyone she met.

Visitation will be at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Freddie Rasberry at Osborn Presbyterian Church, 1272 Adams Lane, Osborn, Mississippi on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Rogers Family Plot in the Pleasant Run Cemetery which is in the Corinth Community on the Schochoh Road in Russellville, Kentucky at 10:00 a.m. on January 24,2015..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a favorite charity or the Osborn Presbyterian Church at mailing address 40 San Marcos Drive, Starkville, Mississippi 39759.
