Cynthia Mechele Latham, age 40, passed away on April 16, 2015 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a teacher and librarian in the Oktibbeha County Schools.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Monday, April 20 at the First Baptist Church in Maben, Mississippi @ 2 p.m. with the Reverend Gene O’Brian officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Valley Cemetery.

Mechele is survived by a brother, Darrell Latham of Jackson; niece, Devin Latham of West Point; nephew, Jim Latham of West Point; and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Latham and Barbara Ann Dalton Latham; brother, David Latham.
