Mr. Odis R. Goodwin, 90, of Starkville, MS, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 in Meridian, MS.

He was a member of the Starkville Church of Christ and was an Army Veteran of World War II, where he served in the New Guinea Campaign and received the Bronze Star. He attended Northwest Community College in Senatobia and the University of Mississippi in Oxford.

Mr. Goodwin is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wilma Street Goodwin of Starkville, MS; daughter, Marsha Kay Ethridge (Ricky) of Meridian, MS; sons, Gary Street Goodwin (Kathy) of Columbus, MS; Paul Ashley Goodwin (Traci) of Madison, MS; Bently Craig Goodwin (Dana) of Memphis, TN; and 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, John A. Goodwin and Allie Johnson Goodwin and a sister, Wilma G. Brown, all of Sardis, MS.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. at Starkville Church of Christ with the service immediately following at 11 a.m. conducted by Perry Jinkerson. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 @ 4 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Sardis, MS, conducted by Jay Street.
