Condolences

Condolence From: Tom Broome
Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at the loss of your Mother and our "Ma Jasper!" She inspired generations of Bulldog engineers through her love of learning and attention to details. The 3rd Floor of McCain Engineering was as close to Heaven as we could get on Earth and that was because your Mom truly loved everyone who passed through her classes and treated them as one of her own children. Of course, I will always remember your Dad with reverence too as his taught thermodynamics with passion with that cigar and his infamous "multiple guess" examinations! Your Mom and Dad truly blessed us all, and for this we say 'Thank You' for sharing them with us. May God's peace be with you all as Heaven is now rejoicing with our "Ma Jasper" joining your Dad. Lots of love, Tom Broome (Class of 1988)

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Our office has a lovely photo of Professor Jasper with her daughter Nellie from years ago - recognizing them as Mississippi's first pair of mother/daughter Professional Engineers.

Respectfully,

Condolence: Your mom, Mary, was a memorable woman. Not only was she intelligent, but possessed such a BIG personality! I'll never forget a meeting she conducted for a group of us new instructors at Miss State, full of energy, enthusiasm and reassurance. Also, easy to get along with as I worked with her on making cakes for you girls' weddings at Miss State, many years ago. She touched many lives, even the life of this humble woman who only knew her briefly. I pray the family finds peace in her passing, but I know you will miss her terribly.

Condolence: To the Family,

I first met Mrs. Jasper as a freshman Electrical Engineering student at MSU. Her kindness, encouragement and support was greatly appreciated. There's a saying, "Give me my flowers, while I am here to smell them". I believe this is how Mahm lived. She didn't hesitate to spread her flowers of love to all of us. I am encouraged by a post on Facebook that she made some months ago. The post sparked replies from her MSU/IMAGE children, and she was gifted with "flowers" of love from many of us. She didn't leave us without the hearing how much she meant and still means to those who had the pleasure of knowing her. No matter how briefly. May God continue to bless and shine on you. You are her legacy.

Condolence: Margaret, I am so sorry to read of the passing of your Mother. It is obvious to me now, why you are such a beautiful and intelligent woman, the brief insight into your Mother's life via the obituary was nothing less than inspiring. Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers.

Condolence: The Jasper family is very special to me and I am so sorry to hear that Mrs. Jasper has passed away. I would love to see each of you children, especially Nellie and Bill who were my piano students. Unfortunately, I will not be able to see you this week. Please know that I am praying for you as you learn to live without your mother.
