Dear Alice, Becky and Steve
I am so sorry to hear that Werner passed away. He was a big part of my early career. As a scientist, he was ethical and honest, as well as very detail-oriented. All of his results could be believed because he held such high standards. I learned a lot from him and was glad to call him a friend. He was a very kind man.
