Obituary for William Samuel (Sam) Arrington

William Samuel (Sam)  Arrington
William Samuel (Sam) Arrington passed away on May 15, 2016. Sam was born in Blytheville, AR on December 7, 1969 to William M. ( Bill) and JoeAnne (Clark) Arrington. Following his birth, the family moved to Jackson, MS where Sam grew up. He graduated from Murrah High School and later attended Hinds Jr. College and MS State University before graduating from the University of Southern MS with
a degree in Engineering. After graduation, he worked in the construction engineering department of MS Chemical Corporation in Yazoo City, MS. It was while working in Yazoo City, Sam met his future wife, Stephanie Hale. They were married on October 19, 2002. Sam & Stephanie moved to Starkville in 2004 where both were employed by Gun Dog Supply. Sam loved building things and was an avid bird hunter and dog trainer. For the last two years, Sam has courageously battled cancer, refusing to let the disease alter his lifestyle until the very end. Sam was a true gentleman who will be missed by his many friends and relatives.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie, his mother, JoeAnne Arrington Jackson, (Dickie), his father, Bill Arrington, (Ginger), his two sisters, Jessi Mershon (Creighton) and Amy Yates (Jay), his nieces, Dottie Mae Mershon, Lola Gray Cunningham and his nephew, Kalem Henderson Kraft.
