Obituary for William Wesley Smith

William Wesley Smith age 85, passed away in his residence on October 2, 2016. Wesley was a barber at Smith's Barber Shop, worked with Northeast Exterminating Company, and retired as a Postal Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran of the U.S Army and a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church where he was a deacon and also served in many other capacities.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 12:00 to 2 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at Meadowiew Baptist Church in Starkville. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Park. Funeral services will be conducted by Jason Middleton and Jason Green.

Wesley was survived by his son Charles Wesley Smith and his wife Monika of Starkville; daughters, Judy Smith Sanders and her husband Thad of West Monroe, LA, and Nancy Smith Trainor and her husband Greg of Starkville; brothers, Durell Smith of Little Rock, AR, and Cornell Smith of Sturgis; grandchildren, Shelly Sanders Barton, Bob Sanders, Elizabeth Trainor Schoenfield and Bill Trainor; and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Ray Smith and his parents WEsley Maurice Smith and Annie Lou Kinard Smith.
