Ralph A.  Carnley Jr.
Ralph A. Carnley Jr., 70, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in Orange Park, FL. He was born August 18, 1946 to Ralph and Lillian Carnley in Jacksonville, FL. Ralph was a huge FSU football fan, loved golf and traveling with his wife all over the world. After Ralph graduated from Florida State University with his BS degree in physics, he went on to serve his country as a naval aviator attached to the USS Intrepid from 1968 to 1972. While at FSU, he was one of 8 founding Fathers of Nu Delta Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity and was inducted as a Brother in September 1965. Ralph felt he needed to pursue more education and graduated from UNF with his Master’s in Business Administration. He was a member of Island View Baptist Church in which he was a deacon and played trumpet in the orchestra. Music was a big part of his life but his family was his true inspiration, he loved them dearly. Ralph is survived by his wife of 38 years Carliss, two daughters Johnicca (Mark) Gayne, Scarlett (William) Haines, two grandchildren Mitchell, Brooke, one brother Kenneth (Nicky) Carnley, numerous nieces and a nephew as well as great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 am. , with the funeral service at 11:00 am., with burial at the Clear Springs Primitive Cemetery in Maben, Ms.
