Dr. Howard Chambers was perhaps the most unforgettable person I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I have never seen anyone combine brilliance with a down to earth attitude in the way that Howard did. The pure love of his job is something we can all aspire to achieve. The MSU community will never be the same. Some of my favorite memories of MSU were visiting Howard at his lab and seeing his brilliance in action. One of the greatest honors in my life was, in a very small way, the ability to collaborate with Howard. Howard, I hope they have a dedicated lab for you in heaven where you can continue having fun. You will be truly missed!
