Condolences

Condolence From: Amy Duncan Fortenberry
Condolence: To the family:
I had Mrs. Gassaway as my typing and shorthand teacher at Starkville High School in the 1970's. She was THE best teacher! She was very encouraging and inspired and challenged me to do better. I missed having a gold typing award by one word (got silver). She told me, "You are a very fast typist. Just slow down a bit, and you won't make mistakes." This was before computers or even electric typewriters. Because of her teaching skills, I procured many jobs as a typist. I was so thankful for her patience and kindness. I am so sad for your loss. May God comfort you and bring you peace.

Condolence: Mrs Gassaway was a fabulous teacher and even better person! She was always so interested in her students and such an encourager.
She was especially kind to me in high school and afterwards.
One of my very favorite teachers/persons.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Prayers for peace, comfort and strength.
