Addie Christine Hawkins Tomlinson, 96, passed away on December 12, 2013 at The Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville, MS. A forty-year resident of Starkville, she was a homemaker and was known for her love of gardening, culinary skills and beautiful handwork.

Mrs. Tomlinson was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Clifton Hawkins and Frances Elizabeth Hawkins; husband, Daniel Carl Tomlinson; and grandson, Robert Keith Heller.

She is survived by her daughters, Frances Heller Graef and husband John of Signal Mountain, TN and Donna Jo Tomlinson of Starkville, MS; son, Dan Keith Tomlinson of Moultrie, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Blake Heller of Houma, LA., Sarah Phelps and D.K. Tomlinson; and two great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Tomlinson is scheduled for Sunday, December 15, 2013, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday, in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Stowell will conduct the service. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery in Clarksdale, MS, on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 1 p.m.
