Anna Verline Woods Barron, 78, passed away on June 12, 2020, at her home in Starkville, MS. She was born September 5, 1941, in Starkville, MS where she lived most of her life. She was a retired employee of the Mississippi State Seed Testing Laboratory and a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, and was happiest spending time with her family. She was also known for her love of family trips to the beach, watching game shows and Mississippi State sports, spending time with her fur grandbabies, keeping up with friends on Facebook, enjoying meals at Red Lobster and Cracker Barrel and listening to Elvis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Hines Woods, stepfather, Roy Eugene Thomas and husband of 56 years, Jerry Lee Barron.
She is survived by her mother, Hazel Pauline Thomas of Starkville, MS, daughters Jana Barron Fuss (Chris) of Brandon, MS, and Jennifer Anne Barron of Starkville, MS, son, Jason Shane Barron of Jackson, TN, and grandchildren Matthew Lynn Fuss, Jonathan Barron Fuss, Jacob Taft Barron, Emma Olivia Barron, and Jane Elizabeth Barron.

A graveside service and burial will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 10 am at Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville, MS.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or local humane society.
