Dorothy (Dot/Dottie) McLean, age 67 passed away on February 6, 2022, at Oktibbeha County Regional Hospital in Starkville, MS.

Dot retired from the Mississippi State University Veterinary School as the custodial supervisor. She was a committed believer in God, loved her family, a caregiver to all she met, a friend to all her siblings, sweet personality, a hard worker, and an Ole Miss fan.

Visitation for friends will be Friday, February 11, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 a.m., at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the graveside service to immediately follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny L. McLean; and son,
Little John McLean.

Dot is survived by son, Chris Bell and wife Stacey of Greenville, TN; daughters, Corey McLean Bostick and husband Dewey of Starkville, Angel McLean Fisher and husband Tony of Brandon; brothers, Butch Buchanan, Michael Perry, Ronnie Perry, and Billy Perry; sisters, Linda Babcock, Mary Richardson, and Laura Chrestensen; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
