The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dr. Thomas (Tom) H. Loftin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Jackie Pruett
Condolence: Somehow we missed the news of Tom’s passing. We have so many great memories from having lived next door to Tom and Judy for over 10 years. Our children loved to visit Tom and Judy! They were always welcomed with cookies and lemonade. They were wonderful friends and neighbors! You have our deepest sympathy! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all! Love, Jackie and Steve Pruett

Condolence: Growing up in Green Oaks, I knew him as "Smokies" (German Shepard) dad. They would visit with most everybody on their afternoon/evening walks. Later on, I sat at the "liars" table at the Starkville Cafe and enjoyed a many a cup of coffee with him. He will be missed.

Condolence: So many wonderful memories of our visits at grandmas - swimming in the creek, birthday celebrations, and being invited to grandpas trunk to share his peppermint sticks. Treasured bits of our past. I'm so sorry I can't be with you at this time, but know I am there in spirit. Many birthdays and miles are prohibitive. My love and prayers are for you, Judy and each one of this great family. We will all miss him. Psalm 116:15

Condolence: Judy, Richard and Durenda, Kay and Jan, Stephanie, and Bradley,
We are so sorry for your loss. Tom was always so kind to us. He always wanted to catch up with both of us and our lives when he saw us. Papa Tom loved his three grandchildren! Praying for all of you as you grieve now and in the times ahead. Precious memories... how they linger! With our love, Rebecca and Danny

Condolence From: Barbara Criswell
Condolence: Although I met Thomas only a few times, I've known his son, Richard, since he moved to Starkville in 8th grade and Richard's wife, Durenda, since kindergarten. I feel I knew him at least some from talks through with the years with Durenda. My heart goes out to them and rest of his loved ones, but especially to Thomas's wife as she navigates this difficult time. I know from Durenda that Judy was a devoted caregiver throughout Thomas's struggle with ALS. May she find some peace in knowing that she did everything she could for him.
