Frances Trotter  Butt
Frances Trotter Butt, 96, passed away on July 22, 2018 in Charlestown, Massachusetts, surrounded by numerous family and friends. Frances and her husband Gene were 30 year residents of Starkville and affiliated with Mississippi State University. Mrs. Butt had a love for travel and did so extensively worldwide. She loved reading and acquired a number of books and was quite a good bridge player. She loved to entertain and was a great cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Dixon and Bonnie Hall Dixon; her first husband of 50 years, Gene Trotter and her second husband, Tom Butt.

She is survived by her son, Robert Trotter (Edith) of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren Bryan Trotter (Chrisi) of Portland, Oregon, Christopher Trotter (Jillian) of Satellite Beach, FL, Sharon Ashley (Walker) of DeKalb, Illinois, and David Trotter (Kim) of Columbus, MS; and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville. Persons wanting to attend the graveside service may gather at Welch Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. to go in procession.

Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 300 W. Lampkin St., Starkville, MS 39759.
