Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Harold Rone can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Jack Cook
Condolence: Mr Rone’s comrades of VFW Post 5573 in Starkville are saddened to learn of Harold’s death. Even though he was unable to attend most of our recent monthly lunches and meetings he was so engaging and interesting to talk with when he did come. We are deeply saddened that because of current events we were unable to recognize his honorable and faithful service to our country. On a personal note I remember him at Mullins Dept Store as a youngster when my Dad would take me in to get new clothes. After retiring and moving back to Starkville we got reacquainted after 20+ years and he took great care of our numerous antique clocks. Our Herschede Grandfather will never chime the same.

Condolence: I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Rone. He was such a nice and kind man. While a student at MSU and while working at State every time I went into Mullins Department Store he greeted me by name. And whenever we ran into each other in Starkville he took time to speak and visit. Those small acts of kindness became huge acts of kindness to me and to so many others. He will be missed. May he Rest In Peace.

Condolence: Dear Lisa and David-
So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I've thought about him often through the years and always with a smile; he was so kind and genuinely interested in others and he had that little mischievous spark! Especially sorry that he passed at this time when his life can not be celebrated properly. My love and prayers!

Condolence: I’ll miss Mr. Rone. He was a good and kind man, who’d always joke around with you, always say hello and carry on a conversation, and do anything for you. My memories of him extend way back into my childhood through his and Mrs. Rome’s friendship with my grandparents and “The Supper Club”. Those that knew him were blessed. He was one of a kind. One of kindest men I’ve known. My thoughts and prayers are with him, his family, and friends. Ryan, Brandy, Will, and Aly Akers.
