LARRY G HEATHERLY

Sarah and Family, I was saddened to hear of Harry's passing. He was a dear friend, mentor, and colleague. I first met him in 1975 when I came to Stoneville as an ARS Agronomist, and we collaborated on several projects until his retirement. We even co-edited a book about soybean production in the midsouth. Harry's ability and intelligence were unequaled, and he could always be depended on for answers to questions I had. He was a great 919 player, and always got a real kick out of winning. He and his wit and wisdom will be sorely missed by those of us who knew him. He was truly a great and kind human being. The world needs more people of Harry's class.
