Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Hilda Jane Morris can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Hilda Jane Morris

Hilda Jane Morris, 71, passed away on August 14, 2022 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was retired and was a homemaker. She dearly loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Frank Dawkins and Flossie Gazaway Dawkins; and her husband, Eddie K. Morris.

She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Cadd (Allen) of Starkville, MS and Rebecca Drury of Maben, MS; sons, Lane Kornegay (Stanley Kay) of Starkville, MS and Jay Morris (Jessica) of Uneedus, La; 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; brother, Matt Dawkins (Denise) of Houston, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Starkville, MS. Bro. Ron Linkins will conduct the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
