James Grant  Cubon
James Grant Cubon, 85, passed away on January 31, 2024 in Maben, MS.

He was born on February 14, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph Frances Cubon and Betty King Cubon.
James was a self- taught craftsman, that enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing, camping, crossword puzzles and being with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James T. Cubon; and brother, Joe C. Cubon.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Ann Blake Cubon of Maben, MS; daughters, Betty Jo Forsythe of Gadsden, AL, Barbara Cubon of Maben, MS, and Beverly Ann Williams (Bobby) of Starkville, MS; sisters, Judy Popkoff of Round Rock, TX, and Joyce Peppers of Bloomington, IL; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Hal Selby will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville.
