Obituary for Joan Kimsey Langford
Joan Kimsey Langford, age 85, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2022 in Starkville Mississippi. She was a resident of The Claiborne at Adelaide Memory Care Facility.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Olyn Langford; sibling, Jerry (Gloria) Kimsey; son, Alan H. Atkison; step-children, Debra (Wessie) Gray and Mike (Ashley) Langford; and grandchildren, Reece Atkison, Tyler Gray, Erin Gray, Justin (Melinda) Langford, Jordan (Carrie) Langford, Julie (Patrick) Perrien, and Blake Bercegeay.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents: Herman and Sybil Kimsey
Joan was born in Lincolnton, NC and grew up in Charlotte, NC. She was also a long time resident of Huntsville, AL. She was employed by IBM where she had a long career as an executive secretary, from 1966 until her retirement.
She loved painting, collecting and home decorating.
The family would like to give a thank you to those that cared for Joan in the memory care section of The Claiborne at Adelaide.
Services were held at Welch Funeral Home at 201 W. Lampkin St., Starkville MS 39759 on Monday 8/1/22 at 1:00pm
Private Interment will be at a later date.
