Several years ago I went to vote at The Hump and Mrs. Cardwell was a poll worker. She didn't recognize me at first (after all, it had been a very long time), but after I signed in and showed my ID she became excited and told the other poll workers that "this is the best student I ever had."
Well, as you might anticipate, I was rather surprised by this, but my response was instantaneous and sincere: "That's because you're the best teacher I ever had."
She was a wonderful human being, a great teacher and a Christian, and this world is a lesser place without her.
