Funeral services for Michael Duane McCarthy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Skiatook Church Of Christ with Minister Russell Hill officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 in the Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Maben, Mississippi.

Michael Duane McCarthy, age 71, of Skiatook, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in Skiatook.
Michael was born March 6, 1947 in Hutchison, Kansas to Thomas J. and Elna (Fallis) McCarthy. Michael grew up and received his education in Hutchison, Kansas where he graduated in 1965. Michael also attended Oklahoma Christian College where he received his Master’s Degree. Michael taught at Tulsa Community College, was employed with PriAmerica, he worked on and built computers, and was a accountant in Skiatook. Michael performed all the music for the Morgan Horse Shows. Michael was also a minister where he pastored several congregations. Michael was a member of the Skiatook Church Of Christ.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother and father and by one sister: Kathy.

Michael is survived by his wife Reta, children: Michelle Carrabello, Eva McCarthy, Allen McCarthy and Jason McCarthy, step-children: Scott Ray and Mignon Nix, two brothers: Patrick McCarthy and Timmy Smith, twenty three grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “I Can Only Imagine”, I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You” and “Amazing Grace”.

Funeral services are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home. Interment is under the direction of the Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, Mississippi.
