The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Patricia "Pat" Wilkes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dearest Runnels family. I am so sorry to learn about Pat and know how much she will be missed by all of her family and friends. I can attest to the warm "reception" experienced by Janet Howerton. I was friends with older brother Tom and spent much time at the Runnels home while in high school. It was always a fun-loving, special place to be. What a wonderful family! Pat is now in that sweet heavenly home, dwelling with her beautiful parents and brother.

Condolence: Please accept my condolences for Pat’s death. I worked with Pat for over nine years in College of Arts and Sciences before I transferred to the Registrar’s Office. Pat and I were very close friends for a long time. I am so very sorry for Scott and Sam and all relatives. She was a very special person!

Condolence: The whole family:

I used to work with Pat at State. She and I became very good friends. She was such a special person and was always there for me when/if I needed someone to listen to me. I will cherish the long friendship that we had forever.

I went to the Rook's (many years ago) for some sort of Runnels family gathering and got to meet all of you. I was very impressed with the reception I received.

I also worked with Rook when I was a secretary in the Computer Science Department, and Kenny when we were at the Vet School. I went to Mrs. Runnels one day for lunch with Pat. She was such a sweet special person too.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God bless you all.
