Condolence: I EXPRESS MY SINCERE SORROW AND EXTEND CONDOLENCES TO BETSY AND THE EXTENDED GODBOLD FAMILY!

While my ole friend’s passing was certainly no surprise, the emptiness of that lost friendship will sting for a long, long time.

I sensed that we might become friends when Sam came over to introduce himself and welcome me into the neighborhood back in late 2004. Our friendship deepened as he introduced me to his mens Sunday school class and we worshiped together over the years.

Sam had a dry wit about about him that matched my personality and as we would visit we often would banter and tease each other, all the while deepening our friendship.
To this day, I can say that I’ve never had a better friend or a finer example of a true southern gentleman than Sam Godbold!

Until we meet again, my friend!!
