The East Mississippi Community College family is deeply sadden by the passing of Mr. Larry Bell. Larry served on the Board of EMCC in an exemplary manner for over twentysix years. During this time, he helped guide the College from the brink of closure to now being known and respected internationally for excellence in sports and academics. Larry served EMCC as he lived his life, with great vigor, humility, honesty and conviction for what he believed to be right. As a member of the EMCC Board of Trustees, Larry enabled many people to realize the opportunities gained from the Community College experience. His dedication to his precious family and unselfish service to so many people throughout his life leaves a legacy that we all can admire, but few will ever replicate. Thank you Larry Bell for what you have done to make our world a better place and most of all, for being my friend.
