Dear Jackie: We are so very sorry to hear of Bill's death. We remember our times together at MSU football games and how we could count on Bill always staying positive, offering encouraging remarks to the Bulldogs -- never griping or getting angry. We remember how sweet we thought it was that the two of you would walk to the games (and stay to the sometimes bitter end). We also remember Bill's presence at all of your public performances. Doug remembers getting to know Bill from Doug's days in the Dean's Office, and both of us remember getting to know you in the Music Department -- and then came the great news that the two of you had married! What memories you must have to cherish. We are out of town and, so, will not be with you at Bill's funeral service. But we will be thinking about you and praying for you. God bless you.
