Duck watching by the pond

Aunt Lou,

As a child, I remember heading over to your house was always a calm and serene experience. The times that stand out the most were the hugs as you embraced our visit and telling us to go play outside lol. Outside is where we would be following the ducks around the pond until we were told to come eat. Your home was always a haven and an anchor during our childhood. Thank you for those memories and for raising such an amazing woman who later became my teacher and great influence. Your spirit and legacy of kindness and pure heart continues throughout your daughter and grandchildren. Thank you for being a supportive and loving aunt to my mother and a caring sister to my mommaw. I can only imagine the joy they felt to have you home in the sky and at peace. With love, may your journey in heaven be blissful beyond our imagination. See you again soon.

Love, Ashley.
