Lorene Garrison Martin

Lorene G. Martin died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at St. Catherine's Village in Madison, MS. She was 95.

Visitation for will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Starkville from 4-6 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the church conducted by Rev. Lee Winter. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Park.

She was a long time resident of Starkville.

Mrs. Martin was born September 28, 1918 in Houston, TX to Robert Glenn and Lillian Smith Garrison.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, T. K. Martin and her parents, Robert Glenn and Lillian Smith Garrison.

She is survived by her son, Glenn Martin of Columbus, MS; daughters, Mary M. Buckley (Tim) of Cary, NC; and Janet K. Martin of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Karen M. Cook (Billy) of Houston, MS; Robert Martin (Leigh Ann) of Vernon, AL; Michael M. Buckley of Cary, NC; Kathryn G. Buckley of Kapolei, HI; great grandchildren, Steven Cook of Houston, MS; step great grandchildren, Palmer and Annah Kate Lacey of Vernon, AL.

Pallbearers are Charles Weatherly, Steve Corhern, Paul Williams, Jerry Toney, Mac Smith and Mike White.
