Ms. Lorene was a southern lady in every sense of the word.  There was never a time that I or my family would visit that she didn't go out of her way to make you feel special and welcome. She was always willing to open her home for a visit or an overnight stay.  I can remember often asking, politely of course, her not to feel obligated to feed me when I visited and especially not get up and cook breakfast.  Seems that request would go in one ear and out the other.  That precious lady would get up and cook a full breakfast and then sit down for a visit during the meal.  I was so blessed to get to know Ms. Lorene through her beautiful and loving daughter, Janet.  Janet is so much like her Mom in so many ways.  I have always wished that I could have half the talent or beauty that Janet possesses.  She has a way of making you feel very special and always welcome in her company.  I guess she learned from the best. Please know that I am thinking of your family and wishing you peace and fond memories of a wonderful lady.  Ms. Lorene was definitely a treasure to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.
