Caroline, Bill and Jamie - What a great picture of Dr. Hill! It captures his personality perfectly, and is a wonderful reminder to me of someone who was an important part of my life. As I reminded Caroline and Jamie recently, he (and Bill)were the reasons I ended up in civil engineering when I had no idea of what I wanted to do. And here I am today! I don't blame you guys at all. :) I am reaching out to you here because I am flying out of Birmingham early Thursday morning and will be unable to attend the visitation Wednesday afternoon. But you all still hold a special place in my heart, and I mourn your loss with you. The good news is that I'm sure Dr. Hill is not mourning, and will be celebrating in a much better place.
