Cecilia Reese Bullock
Billy, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She is a part of my first memories of our family's move to Sessums back in 1954. I understand that she loved to sew, and being the mother of five sons did not give her the opportunities she might have enjoyed with daughters. Hearing that the new neighbors (and in Sessums the neighbors are miles apart, of course) had three daughters, she stitched up three of the fullest, flounciest petticoats any girls could have ever dreamed of, and brought them to our door. I was so proud of that petticoat! Even as a child, I always thought that was the sweetest thing a neighbor could do, and we felt so welcomed. What a thoughtful, generous, wonderful, person! I know you will miss her dearly. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Cecilia
