I first knew Mr. Swain on Overstreet Drive. The Buck Salads trucks left the Swain home there to deliver the product. Butch and the girls were in school with my sister and me. We meet again when we returned to Starkville. He would bring his wife to the beauty shop and sit with her until she was finished. We later commissioned a glider from him. He was one of those Starkville characters that was always around and always contributing. Rest in peace Mr. Swain.
