So sorry to hear of Buck Swains passing . I came to Starkville in September of 1974 to open my first McDonalds on hwy.12. In getting ready to open that restaurant, in March 1975 and I needed to have someone provide us with lettuce,tomatoes,onions. That need allowed me to meet Mr.Buck Swain! From that first meeting and to have him and his son Butch deliver those items two times a week to the store Buck Swain was a very warm,sincere, honest,caring man. Buck always asked how my business was doing. He was one of those special people who truly cared about his fellow man.
